Project management and a hybrid development methodology was key to the successful delivery of the project. Multiple suppliers were involved on different aspects of the system development, which involved putting in a front-end Microsoft Dynamics system bespoke to the organisation.
Adroit managed dependencies on other suppliers, and developed the core warehouse structure, and data imports of around 30 regular data feeds, which also involved high levels of specification and documentation. The technology used was Microsoft SQL Server, with complex SSIS packages and third-party components for data cleansing.
The sheer scale of the project posed many challenges, especially given that no individual had a full overview of all system components. We applied stringent levels of testing and extensive User Acceptance Testing to ensure that business rules were consistent and adopted seamlessly into the live environment.
