This chart shows the value of reported Regular Giving income by each charity. Regular Giving income includes, here relevant membership and / or child sponsorship income.
There is no obligation for charities to report their regular giving income, hence we have a reduced list of organisations publishing the reporting amounts. For those who have reported regular giving income we have the majority of values for more recent years but values for 2010 and 2015 have only been sourced for some of the charities.
You can select different charities by using the drop down at the top of the chart.
If we look at the percentage change in Regular Giving income from one of four date options, to 2023/24, we see a consistent picture of Regular Giving income falling for every organisation with the exception of MSF UK.
The chart below compares the growth rate of three types of income, Regular Giving, non regular giving and Donations & Legacy income for each of the selected organisations. You can compare the growth rates over three time frames, each selected via the drop down list.
Where values are empty it’s because values were not available for that time frame.
Below we can see for each organisation the contribution Regular Giving has made to the reported Donation & Legacy income in comparison to ‘non RG Income’. On the left, it shows the financial values, while on the right we see the percentage of the overall Donation & Legacy income generated by Regular Giving, and non RG Income.
To see the values in both charts for the same organisation you need to choose the same charity name from each of the drop downs.
The chart below shows the value of both Regular Giving income and non RG income for each of the selected development & humanitarian charities for 2023/24.
